Exterior

Since a new road was built from Braidley Road under St.Stephen's Road to the Town Hall and to the Square, the church stands for all to see. The exterior, comparatively plain, is very striking and beautiful. The best view is to be obtained from the N.E. Note the delicate architecture of the tower - which still lacks its spire. Note also the two carved figures on the outside of the church, one over the South Door is a figure of Our Lord; the other over the West Door is of St.Stephen.
