Festival Weekend 1996
"The Life and Music of Percy Whitlock"
1996 was the first weekend festival to be held at St.
Stephen's over the May Bank Holiday.
The theme this year is to celebrate the life & music if Percy Whitlock
- one time organist of
St. Stephen's (1930 - 1935) - on the 50th anniversary of his death.
The Festival is a musical celebration within a liturgical
framework
(except for the Organ Recital in the Bournemouth Pavilion)
and as such the highlight of the Festival is the High Mass (on Sunday).
