| Queen of All The Saints (Bournemouth) Ward The Society of Mary The Society is dedicated to the glory of God and in honour of the Holy Incarnation under the invocation of Our Lady, Help of Christians. Members are requested to keep a simple Rule of Life and to take part in the Mass on the principal Feasts of Our Lady. The Society of Mary in Bournemouth A Mass is held monthly and usually observes a Marion Feast. In Lent an Annual Quiet Day is held on a Saturday from 10a.m. until 3.30p.m., and on a Saturday in May (The Month of Mary) a local May Devotion is held with a Mass, Lunch, Procession of Our Lady, and Benediction.
In June an annual Pilgrimage to the National Shrine of Our Lady at Walsingham is arranged for 4-days in June.
During the stay at Walsingham an evening torchlight procession is held. In the early autumn a day’s outing is offered. Last year we visited The Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation, West Grinstead and for 2006 it is planned to visit the Brighton Pavilion and Lancing College.
Full details are shown in the web-diary and on The Society’s Notice Board in St. Stephen’s. A reception in the Church Hall will follow the Assumption Mass. For further details please contact the Ward Secretary (Henry Frier on 01202-683907).
